The Babe's Early Bday Celebration (and the rest of her Saturday)

As an early birthday celebration for Izzy (and since we can get away with not having a real party for another year), we took the Babe to Sea World today.

In the ongoing effort to prove to myself that I'm not getting old, I decided to run the Carlsbad Half Marathon. I've never considered myself a runner and 13.1 miles would be the longest I've ever run in my life. I did survive and actually had a little fun doing it (except those last two miles). The Babe and Mama came to cheer me on.

The Babe was a little restless on Saturday so we decided to take her to The Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park. She had a blast playing with all of the exhibits and especially in Kid City.
