Battle of the Bulge

Mama is finally starting to show a little bit and has maybe overtaken the Babe for biggest belly. Here's the two of them doing a little comparison and belly bumping.

Into the Woods

Through the wonders of Facebook, we coordinated an impromptu hike with the Kellicas. We headed to Marian Bear Park with the bambinos and one pooch and had a great time. We're thinking this should be a regular weekly event.

The Babe is relax-o max-o

She's Turning Japanese, She's Turning Japanese...

Mama made her world famous gyoza last week and the Babe tried her hand at using chopsticks. She did really really well and is already better than me.

Not quite there yet

We've been trying to potty train the Babe but with mixed results. One good sign is that she has been wanting to wear underwear. Like I said, we've had mixed results...

Last box of diapers? (probably not but it makes a good toy)

It's called underwear for a reason

Dinner with the Neighbors

The family ventured up north to Encinitas to see our friends and old neighbors, the Stadwisers. We got to see their wonderful new house and have dinner like we were back in the 'hood.

Wagon Ride with Porter Magoo

After we got home from Jack's Birthday party the Babe demanded to see her boyfriend, Porter. Lucky for the Babe, Kelly took her and Porter for a ride around the block.

Jack's Birthday Partay

Last Sunday we went to one of Izzy's friends, Jack's 2nd birthday party. It was at Trolley Barn Park and the Babe had lots of fun playing with all of her friends.

One of the many trips to the water fountain:

Izzy monopolized the fire truck:

Then we played with bubbles:

Time for a rest on the bench:

Ok, ready for more playtime!

Do we HAVE to go home?

FINE.

Tagged

We got this idea from our friend's blog.

1. Choose the 4th folder where you store your pictures on your computer. No cheating {cropping, editing, etc.}!

2. Select the 4th picture in the folder.

3. Explain the picture.

We went to visit our dear friends Momo and Neal in Austin in September of 2006. Ohio State was playing UT during that weekend so Bailey, the dog, decided to not take sides.

The Big Day

The birthday decorations were ready, the cupcakes made, and the Babe was sleeping soundly. I went in to wake her up this morning and quietly whispered in her ear, "Izzy, guess what today is? She immediately popped up and said, "MY BIRTHDAY!!!!"

The Babe came home from school with an extra special hairdo today--must've been the birthday hairdo fairy who did it:

So Grown Up
The Babe turned 2 and decided it's time for her to read "big girl books." She started with The Girl's Guide to Hunting and Fishing today:
