Two Little Monkeys Jumping in the Pool

On Saturday Izzy, Ethan, and I went up to Izzy's friend Maddie's house for a playdate. Lucky for us, Maddie has a deluxe pool w/a slide on it!

We had a great, fun-filled weekend w/the Babes. It started out w/a visit to nighttime zoo w/the neighbors and we finally got to visit Elephant Odyssey, which is amazing!

On Saturday we took the Babe to the tidepools at Cabrillo State Park and then to Balboa Park to go on the carousel and the train.

The carousel goes surprisingly fast!


The Babe has been in a giraffe phase lately - first she chose to ride on a giraffe on the carousel:






And then she wanted to ride in front of the giraffe on the train:






The E-man slept through all of it...but he'll get to enjoy these things "when he's older" (as Izzy says).

Playing Hookie

Since Daddy was off of work last week, we decided to keep the Babe home one day and go to Sea World. Jessica, Kelly, and Porter Magoo joined us and it was a fun day of Elmo/Abby rides, getting splashed by a dolphin (no photos, unfortunately!), Cirque de la Mer, sharks, penguins, and more!

The Villanueva Gene

This post title will mean something to our college friends. :) Ethan seems to have the Villanueva gene and has been much more of a sleeper/ laid back baby than Izzy was. (And we thought Izzy was an easy baby!) We hope he stays that way...at least for a while. :)

Happy Two Weeks, Mr E

We took Ethan to the doc for his 2 week weight check the other day, and he had gained 20 ounces in just 1.5 weeks! Go Ethan, and go Mama! :)
