My Head's Not THAT Big!

The Babe thought it would be fun to try on one of Ethan's hats, and amazingly she was able to get this one to fit! It even looks cute!

Went to the doctor today for E-man's 2 month check-up (he turned 2 months yesterday, 9.27). Turns out we may have the future NBA (more like NFL but I don't want him playing football :)) player that Daddy has always dreamed about.

Stats:
Weight: 15 lbs 15 oz (let's just round up to 16 lbs) - 97 %ile
Length: 24 1/4" - 80 %ile
Head: 16" - 50 %ile (probably cuz the rest of him is so big ;))

Doc says he looks great, and we all know he's eating well!

24 Hours of Camping

Every September for the past 6 years, Marc has participated in the 24 Hours of Adrenalin mountain bike race out in Hurkey Creek, Idyllwild as part of the team Stinking Weasels. It's become a tradition for all of the Weasels' families (which have grown over the years!) to gather and join in the camping festivities, and it's been so much fun to
watch the kids grow up over the years.

For the first few races we were kidless and brought Gumbo, who LOVED being out in the wildnerness. Then we had Izzy and she replaced Gumbo as our kid (sorry, Gummies). The Babe was ~7 months for her first camping experience, and ~19 months for her second one.

But this time around was different for all of us. Different for Daddy b/c he was a spectator/supporter rather than a rider (not enough time to train what with the arrival of Ethan, etc). Different for The Babe b/c she was old enough to really play with the other kids and not be with Mama the whole time. Different for Mama b/c I didn't have to support a rider and instead I was the one up a couple of times in the middle of the night, feeding a 7.5 week old baby!

It ended up being so much fun, and we were sad to tear The Babe away from all of her friends at the end. Next year I hope that Marc rides again, but I have to say it was pretty fun having him around the whole time!

You can't beat classic toys like Mr Potato Head, can you? We introduced the Babe to the Potato Head family over the weekend and she can't get enough of them. She has been taking one of them (not the huge one, thank goodness) to bed w/her the past few nights.
(Oh, and that "belt" around Izzy's waist is Gumbo's collar. Does that count as couture?)
