Slow Sunday

Daddy was doing the Solana Beach Triathlon this morning, so Mama, Iz, E-man and Gumbo had a lazy Sunday morning at home.

A visit with old friends

We had a fun visit with old friends today -- Cora and Jana (who Mama used to babysit back in college) and Jana's new husband, Dylan. Cora was in town all the way from DC, and Jana and Dylan recently moved to Irvine. Maybe Jana will end up babysitting for Izzy & Ethan the way I did for her and her younger sister Ariel back in the day!

WWC & Waffles

We had a day of Ws today -- Womens' World Cup (US vs Japan) and Waffles! Eve, John, Ecco and Gray joined us and the kids had a lot of fun together, as always.

St Paul's Beach Day

We started what will hopefully become a recurring event, a St Paul's Beach Day with many of the families from Izzy & Ethan's school. We met at a beach on Mission Bay, which was private and not very crowded, and it was perfect for the kids to play and for the adults to talk and hang out (or go for a swim in the Bay!).

Crazy Hair Day 2011

Izzy was extra excited about Crazy Hair Day at school this year. This is what we came up with. Next year she has already requested that we do a crazy color, like magenta.
