Weekend Fun

It was an absolutely perfect day today, so we spent a lot of time outside...going to the beach, giving Babbo (Gumbo) a bath, drawing on the easel, eating popcorn on the deck, running around the block, and sipping a smoothie on the front patio.

Not sure where this "smile" came from, but the Babe loves doing it lately:

Busy at work again...another I.Z. original:

Ready to race you!

Go go go!

So perfect for the terrible-two times:

April Flowers...

...will bring May showers, we hope! (Not likely, but it would be nice.) At least we're not getting snow like our friends & family in Chicago!
Our front yard is starting to fill in and the flowers are blooming and the feather grass growing, and it's beautiful!

I.Z. Artiste

The Babe has a new easel and she loves it. It's a chalkboard on one side:

and a whiteboard on the other:

"Look it Mama & Daddy, this is Babbo!"
(Izzy is a VERY abstract artiste.)

"Oh ok I'll add her tail too."

Now we just need to get her a nice beret.

Happy Birthday Porter!

Saturday was little Porter Magoo's 1st birthday and we went over to his house to celebrate. There were so many fun things to do - bang on some pots and pans, blow bubbles, etc - and so much good food to eat. The Babe had a great time hanging out with the birthday boy and the Kellicas.

Awesome train cakes

The Babe enjoyed her cake (and some of Mommy's too)

Happy Birthday Porter!

Hook 'Em

While watching the Texas/Duke game, we taught the Babe the Hook 'Em Horns sign. Since then, she has flashed the sign every chance she gets.

Look Daddy!

Almost got it

Lola Found Nemo...

and brought her (this Nemo is a girl) to the Babe. Ok, so this is not a clown fish at all, but when Lola told us that she had suggested names like "Cindy" and "Mary" to Izzy, we were quite relieved that Izzy went with Nemo.

Like Father, Like Daughter

We bought the Babe a T-Ball stand and balls this weekend so that we could start improving her baseball skills. She's catching on VERY quickly already and even told Mama today that "Daddy said, 'Elbow up!'"
