I Wanna Be A Cowboy

Today was Western Day at the Babe's daycare. There were pony rides, a mini petting zoo, face painting, sack races, and many more activities. The Babe had a blast and will sure to be talking about it for a while.

Babe Part Deux

Today we welcomed Ethan Okano Villanueva onto the farm. He weighed in at 8lbs 15.7oz and measured 21.5" long. Mama and baby are healthy and resting at the hospital while Momo and I look out after big sister.

The Babe is excited to meet her baby brother

Shear Madness

The Babe's hair has always been long but it was finally time to give it a trim. With the baby coming and Momo's arrival, the timing seemed perfect for her first haircut.

Don't hate me b/c I'm beautiful

Of course, now it's Momo's turn to get her hair done

Earth Boxes, Pt 2

These Earth Boxes really ARE like magic! Look at how much the plants have grown in less than a month. It seems like we turn our heads and the plants have grown 3 inches by the time we turn back around! We'll see if the parsley and cilantro can hold up to the cucumbers, which are overtaking everything...

Just a few days later:

The tomatoes:

A few days later (yes mom, we'll stake them--don't worry):

Almost have some "pomatoes" that are ready for pickin, too! The Babe really has her eyes on those...

Snuggle-loo

The Babe has always been a snuggle bug, but lately she's been so sweet about giving hugs and big pucker kisses.

The Babe #2 could arrive at any moment now (had some contractions last night, in fact!), and we can't wait to see what a loving big sister Izzy is going to be.

The White Roof

Marc spent quite a bit of time up on the roof a few weeks ago, sealing up the leaks (or what we hope are the leaks :)) and painting it white. (We heard about it before Obama made the announcement though, just for the record!) It has made a noticeable difference in the house temperature so all of Marc's hard work is paying off already! Thanks babe!

Can't wait to see it on Google Earth...
