Koko is the Best!

We came home to a wonderful surprise package from Koko on Friday. It was an iPad! Mama had been wanting one for a long time and it was the perfect gift. We spent the weekend playing around with our new toy and it wasn't long before the kids claimed it for their own.

Happy Mother's Day

Last Sunday we celebrated Mother's Day with the best mama in the whole wide world, Mine! The kids and I first went to our local coffee shop to get her favorite drink, The Flying Nun, and an almond croissant. Afterwards, we made her scrambled eggs (runny like she likes them) and bacon (extra crispy like she likes them). We then painted toe nails and took Mama and children photos. Once the kids started getting cuckoo, I took them to the zoo to give mama some well deserved alone time.

Farewell, Onion

Izzy's second fish, Onion, died last week.  We had a burial / memorial service for her today and Izzy said a few final words.  (Warning, you may need a tissue.)  We'll miss you, Onion!

Chris & D gave us a "sound machine" for Xmas and it continues to provide much entertainment for all of us (but mostly Iz & E-man).

Easter 2011

We hosted the annual North Park Easter brunch at Chez O-V this year. It was a wonderful day of eating & drinking, talking & laughing, hunting & gathering (Easter eggs), and just enjoying the company of great friends. The clan is growing -- Robbo & Ryan now have baby Poppy, and Jere & Naomi have baby Akera. (And Izzy LOVES being a big sister to all these babes!) We enjoyed the usual suspects as well -- Chris & D, Eve & John & Ecco & Gray.
