Sometimes technology is slow to come around the farm or we are just slow to adopt it. We recently installed a webcam and discovered the wonders of Skype. Isobel struggled with the size of the headphones and mic but was able to talk to her Uncle Ernest while he was in Thailand. She would love to talk to you if you have an account but just be forewarned it'll probably be a one sided conversation.

Damn Genetics
It looks like the poor Babe has inherited an affliction that has plagued her Dad all his life. After napping on the couch, Mama and I were sad to note that Isobel has chronic acute bedhead, a disease that affects millions of Americans. While there is no known cure, there are products that treat the symptoms. As others have shown (see below), those afflicted can enjoy a regular quality of life.

Hoya Saxa!
Watching the Hoyas with Dad |
After finishing our early morning chores on the farm, Isobel and I sat down to watch the Hoyas of Georgetown University compete in a game of basketball against the Panthers of Pittsburgh. Of course, the good guys came out on top and should be ranked in the top 10 nationally come Monday. While Dad was dreaming of a national championship for his beloved Hoyas, Isobel dreamt of world domination.

Go Bucks!
The Babe needs a bath
After a week of rolling around the farm, it came time to give Ms. Isobel her first bath. She wasn't having much fun but i'm sure she'll get used to it. Post bath she was wrapped up in her new hat and bath robe and was all smiles again.
