The Babe Turns Five

We can hardly believe it, but our Babe is now five years old! So far, it seems that the most memorable part of turning five will be the first time chewing gum (Bubblicious - Strawberry!), but we'll see how the rest of the year goes.

It was a weekend full of celebration, starting with the usual birthday streamers and her traditional day off with Daddy. They had breakfast at an establishment of Izzy's choice (Cardamom), went swimming at the Y, took Gumbo to Dog Beach, then watched The Little Mermaid all the way through (when you turn five, Ursula isn't scary anymore). After all that, we had pizza and ice cream with D, watched Daddy's annual slideshow, and enjoyed a few rounds of Don't Break the Ice. All in a day!
