Christmas 2008 in San Diego

The hiatus is over...we blame Koko for the lack of blog posts over the last 6 weeks. She borrowed our camera and we finally got it back over the holidays. Yay!

We had a wonderful Christmas with the Okano clan in San Diego. Momo and Jiji flew in from Chicago, Koko drove down from L.A., and she treated Momo/Jiji to a nice stay at the W Hotel downtown. We still spent all of our days together and Izzy got a great dose of "koko-momo-jiji."

Ernest stopped in for a few hours on his way out to Phoenix and brought Mama a wonderful gift (here's Izzy modeling it):

Hangin' with Momo and Lola

One of the benefits of having Momo and Lola around is that they love to go thrift shopping for cute stuff for the Babe.

Story Time

It didn't take long for the Babe to warm up to her Momo & Ojiichan. She quickly located Momo's lap and had her reading books to her, inside:

and outside:

Ojiichan read the Babe's Japanese books to her and made lots of funny faces.

The Babe's Spring Collection

MoMo sent me some fun Spring outfits and it's been perfect weather in San Diego lately to show them off.

Fun with Momo and Ojiichan

Momo and Ojiichan made a combo visit from Chicago to San Diego to see Koko and Izzy. The Babe had lots of fun getting so much attention, and she pulled a few new tricks out of her bag too! She's sitting up really well now, and she's started making the "ma-ma-ma" sound (although her daddy still refuses to believe that it's the same as "mama"...we'll need video evidence to support it). She also has two bottom teeth, which we'll try to get a picture of - if she'll let us. :)

Lola and Momo

Isobel didn't think it was fair that the grandpas got a post before her grandmas when they came to see her first. In fact, her Momo was the first visitor she got!
